Cryogenic Processing of Materials
Freeze Granulation is a commercial method for cryogenic processing (granulation) of chemicals and powder-based materials. A unique cryofixation of the material in the droplet give a homogeneous granule and result in improved properties in the final product.
The slurry is pumped and sprayed into liquid nitrogen for instant freezing of the droplets. The frozen granulate is then freeze dried in a freeze dryer for to sublimate the solvent (water or organic solvent).
